I have always had a passion for photography since I was little using a polaroid camera, to when I grew up traveling the world as a Student Ambassador. Once I began my first photography class shooting with a film camera, it changed my life forever. It was thrilling to shoot and process film and photographs in the darkroom.
Although I love film photography, photojournalism is my passion; the opportunities of documenting another’s life journey is not only gratifying but enlightening through my personal and technical lens.
It is extremely rewarding to see through the whole process of picking a subject, working with a subject, and putting together a visual narrative that is compelling. Being allowed into someone’s life to tell their story has enabled me to make an impact on their life and as well on others who are going through these similar experiences.
I have been published by The Record-Review, Trish Haute Couture, West Virginia Statewide Afterschool Network, Missouri Photo Workshop, and Monongalia County Schools.
My photographs have been exhibited in a few galleries. In July 2015, two of my photos were exhibited at the Louvre in Paris for the Exposure Award by See Me. My photos were in the landscape and sky collections. In August 2015, one of my photos was exhibited at Album Gallery in Rotherhithe, London for the Egalitaria. A few of my photos were also exhibited at ArtScope during Art Basel week in Miami, FL from December 1-6, 2015.
